Book the captured IS operatives for genocide: Nobel Prize nominee

Nadia Murad, a Yazdi woman, who was in IS captivity as a ***** slave, is pleading with the United Nations to term the terrorists' atrocities as genocide and give them the same punishment as the terrorists meted out to her Yazdi people. Nadia, who is one of the 376 Nobel Prize nominees this year, had escaped from the clutches of the IS through a false identity. She now lives in Germany with her sister. The slight 23-year-old woman was taken from her native village of Kocho in Iraq's northern town of Sinjar and brought to Mosul in 2014. `The first thing they did was to force us to Islam. After conversion, they did whatever they (IS terrorists) wanted to do,' she told UN investigators and broke down. She told the UN Security Council last December that she was married to one IS operative who subjected her to untold abuse. Nadia said she was not able to take anymore rape and fled. In Mosul, no one would give her shelter till one Muslim family helped her. They got an Islamic ID for her. With that she managed to cross into Kurdistan. The Yazdi woman says the IS wants to exterminate the Yazdis on the ground that they were not people of the Book.
