Revanth to go on fast for Mallannasagar oustees

Telangana TDP working president A Revanth Reddy said on Monday he would go on a 48-hour hunger strike, demanding justice to the displaced persons of the proposed Mallannasagar project in Medak. Talking to the media at Choutuppal, the TDP leader said his party would ensure justice to the villagers who were displaced by the project. “We will see that Irrigation Minister Harish Rao does justice to the victims of Mallannasagar”, he said. He demanded that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao pay adequate compensation to the farmers by selling his own farmhouse. Revanth Reddy also said there should be a social boycott of MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy, MLAs Bhaskar Rao, Ravindra Naik, who all joined the TRS.
