After seeing Velagapudi, Babu relents on June 27

After seeing the slow pace of the work on the AP government's new Secretariat at Velagapudi in Amaravati, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has relented on the deadline of June 27 for all departments to start working from the new capital. He told newsmen after a visit to Velagapudi that all possible departments and all possible staff would start working from Velagapudi on June 27. The staff requirement would be reviewed on June 22 about the staff shift. Some of the staff may stay put in Hyderabad and some maybe required in Velagapudi, he said. In future, the ministers and their secretaries would work from the same place. That may require some time, he added. He said there should be the urge for development in everyone. Delivering good governance was the main objective of the government.
