Mudragada fast adds to AP's problems, says Babu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday regretted Kapu supremo Mudragada Padmanabham going on fast-unto-death, demanding the release of Kapu leaders arrested in connection with Tuni violence. The indefinite fast by the Kapu leader would only add to the problems the State was already facing following the split of the combined AP. Chandrababu said his government was engaged in fulfilling the propmises it had made for the different sections of the people. His government had appointed a commission to look into the matter of reservations for Kapus among the Backward Classes. He was open to conceding the Kapu demands. The government was already moving in that direction. He alleged that in the Tuni violence outside forces were involved. The government was vested with the responsibility of maintaining law and order in the State.
