Harish Rao defers Delhi trip

Hyderabad, June 4: Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today deferred his visit to the national capital at the instance of Union Water Resources Ministry. Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharathi rang up Harish Rao and asked him to postpone his visit to Delhi as the officials concerned were not present. However, it is learnt that Harish, along with his team of officials, were scheduled to meet Umabharathi on June 6. The TRS Government in recent past apprised the Centre of AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s frequent comments against the irrigation projects of Telangana State which began before the bifurcation of the United State. Keeping this in view, the Telangana State government planned to meet Uma Bharathi for a brief discussion to resolve the issue.
