130 schools, 30 girls colleges under social welfare coming up in Telangana
The Telangana government on Saturday issued orders giving administrative sanction for opening of 130 more Social Welfare Residential Schools for Boys and Girls, and 30 Social Residential Degree Colleges for Girls only in the State from the Academic Year of 2016-17.
The government issued a GO No 20 through the Scheduled Castes Department in this regard. S Niranjan Reddy, Telangana Planning Board Vice-Chairman, said that the government gave its nod for the schools to be set up from this academic year.
He thanked Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for sanctioning one Girls School at Peddamandadi and one Degree College at Wanaparthy in Mahabubnagar District, a release said.
