Harish Rao flays Krishna Board, favours River Tribunal
Telangana Major Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao on Saturday made a distinction between the Krishna River Tribunal and the Krishna River Board.
He said the Krishna River Board was functioning in violation of the law. He would take this aspect to the notice of the Centre at any cost.
Talking to newsmen after his Delhi visit was postponed to Monday, Harish said the Krishna River Board was functioning in a partisan manner. This was taken to the notice of common Governor ESL Narasimhan. The same would be carried forward to the Centre on Monday.
He said the partisan attitude of the Krishna river Board would be taken to the notice of Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharati also. The Centre should act in the matter, he added.
Harish said it was for the Krishna River Tribunal that should approve of the projects. He took exception to taking the matter to the Krishna River Board. He was angry that the board was exceeding its brief.
