Dattatreya assures Harish about Krishna water share

Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya assured Telangana Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao on Saturday that he would ensure that the Centre would help in protecting the State's share of the Krishna river waters. He also said he would speak to Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharathi in this connection. The Telangana Irrigation Minister met the Union minister and sought his help on the Krishna River Tribunal. Harish Rao went to the residence of Dattatraya at Ramnagar and submitted a memorandum on the issue of Krishna river tribunal. While the Telangana government had initiated measures to construct projects on the basis of its water share, the AP government was spreading false information and submitting memorandum to the Centre based on false information, he said. Harish Rao would meet Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharathi and submit a memorandum on the Krishna Tribunal issue to her also.
