Let there be no differences between Telugu States: KCR

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday said he did not wish any differences or misunderstanding with Andhra Pradesh. Participating in a programme in Hi-Tech city on the occasion of Second Formation Day of Telangana, KCR said there should be no differences between the two States. `This is my appeal to Chandrababu,' he added. Referring to the major issue of river waters, he said there were 3855 tmc waters in the Krishna and Godavari rivers. With these waters, 40 million acres could be irrigated in the States. He said Telangana was aspiring to take water for irrigating only 10 million acres. KCR admitted that the first seven months after the State's formation, there was not much to write about governance. In the State's development, Governor ESL Narasimhan's role was unforgettable. Today Telangana's growth rate was higher than the national average. By 2019-20, Telangana budget would cross Rs 200,000 crore and by 2024 the budget would be Rs 500,000 crore.
