KCR writes to Uma Bharati against Krishna notification

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has written a letter to Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharati not to enforce the draft notification which was not in conformity with the provisions of the AP Reorganisation Act. He urged Uma Bharati not to take a view on the irrigation projects without a reallocation of the Krishna waters. KCR told the Minister that the State had already approached the Krishna tribunal. Against this background, if the notification was issued, it would jeopardise Telangana's interests. He pointed out that the Godavari Board had not issued any such notification.
