OU students try to storm YCP's Lotus Pond

Several students of Osmania University were taken into custody on Monday when they tried to storm the YCP headquarters at Lotus Pond in the Banajara Hills area. The students were protesting against Jagan's three-day fasting programme in Kurnool against, among other things, the construction of river projects by the Telangana government to the detriment of life in Andhra Pradesh. The students warned against preventing work on major irrigation projects in Telangana and tamashas such as fasting should be stopped. They warned of serious consequences if resistance continued. The police who intervened took some students into custody. Details are awaited.
