TDP attacks Jagan for foreign assets, mortgaging farmers' interests
The ruling TDP on Thursday launched an attack against the leader of the Opposition, YS Jaganmohan Reddy, that he had financial interests abroad made out of land deals and mortgaging the interests of farmers in the State.
Dhulipala Narendra, TDP MLA, alleged that Jagan had mortgaged his Leader of the Opposition status to Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao by garnering irrigation project contracts for his party leaders in the neighbouring State.
On the other hand, Jagan chose to agitate over farmers' interests in Andhra. He had no right to fight for the farmers' cause in this situation wherein irrigation projects would be taken up in Telangana by YCP leaders.
Jagan is to take up a fasting programme in Kurnool on various issues, including farmers.
Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu had alleged in Vijayawada that Jagan had amassed wealth in safe havens such as the British Virgin Islands.
