Yanamala demands CBI, ED probe into Jagan's foreign assets

Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu on Thursday made serious charges against Opposition YCP leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy, charging him with making money out of land deals under the Indu project, Indu Tech Zone and Lepakshi Knowledge Park. The lands were allotted to the projects by the government. Talking to newsmen in Vijayawada, Yanamala alleged that Varaprasad was a benami of Jagan, whose investments abroad were revealed by Panama Papers. Since Jagan made money out of land deals and allegedly indulged in money-laundering, the CBI and the Enforcement Directorate should take cognizance of the Panama Papers and start an inquiry against Jagan, he said. Jagan had allegedly made money by mortgaging the lands. The Finance Minister further charged that Jagan had investments in the British Virgin islands.
