Annavaram Celestial Wedding invite full of errors
Annavaram is a prominent pilgrimage place for the Hindus, and the people there pray to Satyanarayanaswamy, the ruling deity, as Satyadeva. In fact, some close observers say the lake, Pampa, at the foot of the hill temple is indeed the Pampa river mentioned in the Valmiki Ramayana.
While the Lord of Truth reigns Supreme in Annavaram, the officials managing the temple can't keep to the Truth standards set by the reigning deity. The invitation for the Kalyanamahotsavam in the temple is a case in point, which is full of factual errors.
The year itself is mentioned wrongly therein. Instead of Durmukhinama Samvatsaram the year is mentioned as Jayanama. The date of the Celestial Wedding should be Tuesday, but in the invitation it is mentioned as Saturday.
The devotees who have noticed the blunders are angry with the temple officials. Callousness of the Annavaram officials was noticed recently when they allowed a recording dance (indecent dancing) to go on near the temple premises in connection with a wedding. No wonder the aftereffects of that wedding have spilled in connection with the Celestial Wedding also.
