Thirsty women faint at Didi's public meeting

Didi's public meeting in Coochbehar on the eve of the last phase of the polls in West Bengal was a living demonstration of water scarcity and drought conditions and their effects on the vulnerable people. Many of the women fainted in the Sun demanding drinking water. The drinking water that was available with the ruling Trinamool Congress cadre was sufficient to quench the thirst of a few women in the public meeting. The large number of women, who were attracted by the address of Didi Mamata Banerjee, were demanding water from the beginning. But not much was going round in the same way as in the public supply system. Already it was hot, and to add to that there were no water bottles. Many of the women had fainted at the public meeting. To revive them also water is needed to be sprinkled. Would Didi at least now realize the gravity of the situation and make provision for drinking water in the hot summer months?
