BCCI recommends Rajiv Khel Ratna for Virat Kohli

Going by the leadership qualities of cricketer Virat Kohli, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has recommended the award of Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna to the Team India Test Captain. The award has been recommended on the eve of Virat Kohli becoming Team India Captain in the limited overs cricket also. What has impressed the board is the consistent super batting form of Virat in all forms of the game and on any pitch anywhere. The board has written to the government of India about its recommendation for Virat. The government has rarely said no to the board. In fact, it was the unilateral decision of the Central government to award Bharat Ratna to Sachin Tendulkar.
