CPI Ramakrishna wants Venkaiah denied RS re-election

Expressing anguish over the denial of Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh, CPI State Secretary Ramakrishna on Saturday wondered how was it that the Central government did not know about the revenue deficit and lack of funds in Andhra Pradesh following the unkind cut of splitting the combined AP. Ramakrishna told newsmen in Kurnool that it was necessary to teach the Centre a lesson. Giving a piece of unsolicited advice, he reminded the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu that Union Minister for Paliamentary Affairs Venkaiah Naidu's Rajya Sabha term was going to end on June 30. Venkaiah Naidu was about to come to the State to seek support for his re-election to the Rajya Sabha. And if you want to teach a lesson to the Centre over the denial of Special Category Status to AP, you should not support Venkaiah Naidu's re-election, he said addressing Chandrababu. It remains to be seen whether Chandrababu Naidu will take the cue. However, Venkaiah Naidu is a member of the Upper House for the past three terms from Karnataka.
