KCR expresses concern over varsities' situation

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday expressed concern over the situation obtaining in both Osmania and Hyderabad Central universities. He was responding to the Congress demand for a discussion on the sitation in the two universities. The Congress members raised din in the House over the attack on their MLA Sampath's car in Osmania University. The Chief Minister said it was an unfortunate incident. Any attack on people's respresentatives was regrettable. He said the ruling TRS was not averse to a discussion on situation in the universities. He invited the opposition parties to start the discussion. Uttam Kumar Reddy, PCC leader, said the ruling TRS was unrelenting on the students demands. He said the police had attacked the car of Sampath, when he went to Osmania. The police had beaten up students of Hyderabad Central university following their arrest. He said his party condemned such incidents against students.
