YCP gives boisterous turn to no-trust move against Speaker
While the ruling TDP is becoming more and more serious in the debates in the AP State Assembly, the opposition YCP appears to be more and more boisterous.
While the debate on the No-Confidence Motion against the TDP government was going on in the House on Monday, YCP leader Jaganmohan Reddy appeared to be smiling while the TDP leaders were getting worked up.
Likewise, during the debate on no-trust move against the Speaker, Dr Kodela Sivaprasad Rao, a YCP leader, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, made a humorous beginning. Opening the debate, he said: `Mr Speaker Sir, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is like my older brother. To see him as Telugu Desam leader makes me feel very happy.
`Why happiness? To bring his party to power, he made four, precisely four, promises that could never be fulfilled. Indeed he got the party to power. That is why my happiness', he added.
Sridhar Reddy's YCP colleagues thumped the desks.
Referring to their party leader RK Roja's suspension from the House for 1 year, he said let's assume she had made objectionable remarks. At the same time, the Chief Minister also made objectionable remarks. Chandrababu said at one stage, `I'll see your end.' But there is no ruling against the Chief Minister.
One ruling TDP MLA had threatened to kill a YCP MLA. This was there in the record, but there was no action against the ruling party MLA.
`Taking all these into account, we are moving the no-confidence against the Speaker,' he added.
