Bhujbal supporters raise slogans at Delhi ED, held
Former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Chagan Bhujbal, who is facing a spate of money laundering cases, appeared before the Enforcement Directorate in New Delhi on Monday, when his supporters raised slogans outside the premises.
The police who were called in took the Bhujbal supporters into custody. The ED officials showed a lot of patience before they called the police.
Bhujbal, who was facing the money-laundering cases in regard to the Maharashtra Sadan construction and Kalina land grab, also faced corruption charges in the award of several contracts.
The Maharashtra ACB had filed FIRs in connection with the Sadan and Kalina cases. Investigating agencies are looking into other Bhujbal's actions as PWD Minister.
Along with the NCP leader, Bhujbal's son Pankaj was also probed by the ED. The Directorate seized his passport last month.
