Modi Govt vows to bring back Vijay Mallya

After the horse has bolted, the Narendra Modi government is now trying to talk big about `King of Good Times' Vijay Mallya, who has slipped away to London on March 2. Mallya is indebted to public sector banks and others of over Rs 9000 crore. Seventeen banks' consortium led by SBI has now started making moves about recovery of their loans, but none of them has gone to court in time for an order for seizing his passport. As a result, the King of Good Times is continuing his party abroad at the cost of people's money and non-payment of salary dues to his King Fisher airline employees. Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Muqtar Abbbas Naqvi told the Lok Sabha on Thursday that the government would ensure the return of Vijay Mallya. He also said there was no question of sapring any Indian tycoon who had violated the laws of the land and living happily abroad. Answering questions in the Lok Sabha, Naqvi vowed there was no question of Vijay Mallya getting away from the Law. He would be brought back to the country. Apart from Vijay Mallya, the other rich man who jumped the gun in the recent past was Lalit Modi, Chairman and Commissioner of the Indian Premier League, who had much to answer for about turning T20 into satta cricket.
