Kapus not behind Tuni violence, says MLA Sugunamma

The Kapus were not inovlved in the Tuni violence, wherein an express train was set on fire, two police stations were attacked, and the injured policemen were also not spared, on Sunday. Emphatically stating this, Tirupati MLA Sugunamma alleged that according to her information anti-social elements were behind the Tuni violence. Sugunamma, wife of the late Kapu leader Venkataramana, prayed to Lord Venkateshwara along with her followers so that the Kapus would peacefully get their demands met. She and her followers broke coconuts on the steps leading to the Tirumala abode. Sugunamma expressed the confidence that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu would concede the Kapu demand, as promised before the assembly elections, for including them in the Backward Classes list and also provide them with reservation in jobs.
