Court directs Kejri, Kirti to appear before it

The Delhi High Court has issued notices to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and five other ruling Aam Admi Party leaders as well as BJP MP Kirti Azad in the defamation case filed by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. The court took up the case on Friday and told the defendants to present themselves before it. The court also directed the Delhi Chief Minister and the BJP MP also to present themselves before it. The case relates to the charge by AAP leaders that there were financial irregularities in the Delhi and District Cricket Association under the presidentship of Arun Jaitley. Arun Jaitley's bete noire both in the BJP and court practice, Ram Jethmalani, is defence counsel. The defamation suit demands a compensation of Rs.10 crore if proved.
