Three in race for Telangana DGP post

Hyderabad, Nov 9: The just concluded meeting of officials from the Union Home ministry, Union Public Service Commission and Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) has identified three names for the post of Director General of Police of Telangana state. This preliminary list contains the names of the present DGP Anurag Sharma, ACB Director AK Khan and National Police Academy Director Aruna Bahuguna. Earlier, the Telangana government had forwarded a list of five names to the selection panel. After examining the list, the panel shortlisted the above three names. The central government is expected to shortly forward the shortlisted names to the state government for further action.
