Minister Prathipati in trouble; HC accepts probe into his wife's deal with AgriGold
Hyderabad, Oct 30: AgriGold depositors in Telangana have a filed a petition in High Court alleging that the company sold 14 acres land to AP Minister Prathipati Pulla Rao's wife.
Telangana AgriGold Customers and Agents Welfare Association president A Ramesh Babu filed the petition.
The petitioner accused AgriGold of selling 14 acres land to Minister Prathipati Pulla Rao's wife P Venkayamma for Rs 10 crore.
He urged the court to recover the money and to deposit it with the court and to conduct a detailed probe into the entire episode.
The court informed the petitioner that it will conclude the probe within two weeks. The court directed the three-member committee to set in motion the process for auctioning AgriGold properties.
