AP capital Sankhusthapana to be held at Uddandarayunipalem
Guntur, Oct 2: The Andhra Pradesh government is planning to conduct capital city foundation stone laying ceremony (Sankhusthapana) at Uddandarayunipalem village on the banks of River Krishna on October 22. According to reports, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu wants to conduct capital city foundation stone laying ceremony at Uddandarayunipalem as it is situated in Eesanyam (northeast) direction to Thulluru. The government earlier planned the ceremony at Mandadam where the 'Bhoomi Puja' was held on June 6, but changed the venue in the last moment. A team led by Guntur Collector Kantilal Dande and Vijayawada Police Commissioner Gowtham Sawang inspected Uddandarayunipalem and collected information. Vaastu Pandits opined that performing foundation stone laying works at Uddandarayunipalem would bring prosperity, peace and progress.
