All set for Gali's arrest
Bengaluru, Oct 02: The stage is set for the arrest of former Karnataka Minister and mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy in connection with a case related to illegal transport of iron ore. Eight Special Investigation Teams (SITs) are carrying searches at various places across Karnataka to execute the arrest warrant issued by Lokayukta. It is alleged that Gali illegally exported 5 lakh metric tonnes of iron ore from Belekeri port. It may be noted that the SIT officials carried out raids on residences and offices of Gali in Bengaluru, Bellary and others places in the state a week ago. According to reports, Gali would surrender before Lokayukta this evening.
