Maoists abduct 2 in Visakhapatnam district

Hyderabad, Sept 24: Maoists are believed to have abducted two persons from Karlapodoru village in Mandhangiputta mandal of Visakhapatnam district early today, according to reports reaching here. The two abducted persons have been identified as Lakshmipuram Upa-Sarpanch Dhanunjaya and Neelakantham. Maoists have been active in the district for several months now. In July also they had abducted a 27-year-old tribal youth identified as Pangi Ramanna from his native village Gobrapada under Rangabayalu panchayat in Munchingput mandal in the district.
