Thotapalli project dedicated to nation
Thotapalli (Vizianagaram) Sep 10: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today dedicated to nation the Thotapalli irrigation project constructed on River Nagavali here. The CM unveiled the project pylon and released water to 50,000 acres. The project has a command area of 1.32 lakh acres. The 117 km length Thotapalli left canal would provide irrigation facility to thousands of acres in Srikakulam district. Chandrababu Naidu laid foundation stone to the project on November 6, 2003 and he inaugurated the project after a long gap of 12 years. According to reports, the projects works gained momentum after TDP assumed power in 2014. Chandrababu personally supervised the project works. Farmers in Vizianagaram and Srikakulam would be benefited by the project.
