TDP MLA Revanth Reddy arrested

Kodangal (Mahbubnagar), Aug 20: Tension prevailed at Kodangal in Mahbubnagar district as police arrested TDP MLA Revanth Reddy. Revanth Reddy and Industries Minister Jupally Krishna Rao were scheduled to inaugurate a warehouse at Agriculture Market Yard in the town today. Revanth along with a large number of followers entered the market yard to participate in the programme. The police stopped Revanth's followers from entering the market and caned them. Revanth staged a demonstration in protest against the lathi charge and he was arrested. According to reports, TDP cadres tried to obstruct the Minister. TDP cadres are staging a protest in front of the police station condemning the arrest when the reports last came in.
