111 km skyways in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Aug 06: The state government is planning to construct 111 km length skyways in Hyderabad city to ease traffic congestion. GHMC planned to spend Rs 21,000 crore under Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP) to construct 111 km skyways, 57 km grade separators (flyovers) and to develop 512 km city roads as per international standards. According to reports, within two days officials will call tenders for construction of 18 grid separators with an estimate of Rs 4,031 crore. Forty-one km length Musi Corridor is the longest skyway followed by 19 km length JBS-Tumkunta skyway. The grade separators will come up at main junctions and skyways would come up along dense traffic corridors.
