'No question of revoking ban on Sreesanth, Ankeet'
New Delhi/Hyderabad, July 29: The hopes of former India pace S Sreesanth and spinner Ankeet Chavan for a reentry were dashed to the ground.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday made it clear that there is no second thought on revoking the ban on the duo after they were cleared of all charges in the IPL 2013 spot fixing case.
The Board has imposed life ban on these two cricketers. The Delhi court has declared Sreesanth, Ankeet and Chandila and others accused in the case as innocent.
The Kerala cricket union requested BCCI for lifting the ban on Sreesanth. But BCCI secretary Thakur said that there is no question of lifting the ban on these cricketers. There is no link between legal action and BCCI disciplinary action, he added.
