Squirrel, rat arrested
Hyderabad, July 16: Filing of cases filing for missing pet animals is common. But cases against animals? It is rather unusual.
Cases against animals for theft and harassment were filed in some foreign countries. It is already known that a case was filed with police requesting them to catch a devil in India a few days ago.
In Germany, a squirrel was arrested on stocking charges. A woman of North Rhine-Westphalia in West Germany was walking on a road and a squirrel followed her. However, she tried to drive the animal away, the latter followed her and walked around her. The annoyed woman complained to the police, who rushed to the spot and managed to catch the squirrel after a great chase.
While in America, a theft case was filed on a rat. Michigan police arrested a rat and filed a case for stealing 28,000 pounds nuts.
A woman of Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh filed a case against a monkey. When Urmila Saxena was going to a temple, a monkey snatched the gold chain from her neck which broke into two pieces. The monkey ran away with one piece of gold chain.
The woman immediately complained to the police and demanded that they file FIR against the monkey. The police said they can file cases against human beings but not on monkeys.
But according to sources, the police requested the municipal officials to catch the monkey.
