Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu showered high praise on Union Ministers Pemmasani Chandrasekhar and Nadendla Manohar during the foundation stone laying ceremony of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) houses in Burripalem of Guntur district.
Addressing the gathering, Chandrababu Naidu recalled the village’s association with Super Star Krishna and declared that Burripalem now has a new hero. “Once upon a time, the name Burripalem reminded us of Super Star Krishna. Today, another hero has arrived here. While he was a cinema hero, our Pemmasani Chandrasekhar is a political hero,” the Chief Minister said.
Naidu openly admitted that he had initial doubts when Pemmasani was chosen as an MP. “Pemmasani spent a long time in America. I wondered whether he would be able to connect with the people here and mingle with them. But today, seeing his speeches and the way he is integrating with the public, I am extremely happy. He has transformed into one among the common people, looking after everyone’s welfare and progressing magnificently,” he remarked.
The Chief Minister specially highlighted the 3D concrete printing technology housing project being taken up in Burripalem under Pemmasani’s leadership, stating that it would serve as a model for the entire nation.
Chandrababu Naidu also highly appreciated the performance of Janasena leader and Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar. “The first person who comes to my mind in the Cabinet is Nadendla Manohar. Even if prices of essential commodities rise slightly, he immediately sends me a note explaining the situation and the steps being taken to control them. He is an extremely efficient minister who works day and night to ensure that the burden of rising prices does not fall on the poor,” Naidu said.
Expressing happiness that the programme was being held in Manohar’s constituency, the Chief Minister noted that both leaders, handling key portfolios in the alliance government, are at the forefront in delivering better services to the people. Their performance, he added, is further strengthening the coalition government.
