Respite to engg colleges, whose affiliations were cancelled
Hyderabad, July 15: The engineering colleges released a sigh of relief. The division bench has made certain changes in the High Court's single bench verdict on the engineering colleges in Telangana, whose affiliations were cancelled. With this these colleges could now participate in the counselling for the academic year, 2015-2016. This may further delay the counselling process. The division bench directed JNTU to conduct checking in all the engineering colleges before July 30. The next hearing will be on August 4. The division bench also clarified that JNTU has the authority to cancel the affiliation of the colleges that fail to follow rules and regulations. The division bench issued orders directing the officials to start inspecting within three days. However, it also stated to inform the students and parents, who attend the counselling, that the college affiliations was in pending status at the High Court.
