Hyderabad, July 15: Giving respite to the 10-day long garbage piles and stink, some of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation contract and outsourcing workers resumed their duties on Wednesday. Hyderabad Municipal Commissioner Somesh Kumar said about 13,000 workers, out of the total 18,000 workforce, were attending to their duties. The Telangana government is ready to fulfill the workers' demands if they resume their duties. 'If needed, I will personally meet and request Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao,' he added. The workers were told that lot of problems will come if they continue their strike for long and they understood the problem, the Commissioner said. He further said that all the rubbish, piled up in the twin cities would be removed by Thursday evening.
