Rumours agog on Jayalalithaa’s health

Chennai, July 13: AIADMK supremo and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s sudden disappearance from public life has given rise to speculations on her health. According to Rediff, Jayalalithaa was facing liver problem and she went to Singapore. A report in Tehelka magazine claimed that she would go to Texas for kidney transplantation. According to the report, she is suffering from diabetes, high BP and her kidneys were damaged due to excessive use of pain killers. According to Telegraph, the CM is suffering from kidney problem and gangrene in toes and would undergo dialysis at home. The Chief Minister was seen struggling to walk during her swearing in ceremony and she inaugurated various other programmes through video conference and this added strength to the rumours. Meanwhile, AIADMK refuted the reports.
