45 lakh Honda cars recalled
Hyderabad, July 10: Japanese car-maker Honda Motor Corporation had recalled 45 lakh cars globally, as Takata-made airbags were blowing up due to heat. Company sources said this problem was more with the airbags arranged in front of the driver and they will be replaced with new ones.
This move came after eight deaths took place around the world that occurred due to the faulty airbags. A chemical substance helps inflating the airbags and causes the airbags to blow up with explosive force, sending metal pieces towards the driver and passengers.
The Tokyo-based Takata company has been facing cases and investigations over accusations that it knew about theses problems and hide the danger.
