HRC takes Musunuru Tehsildar case as suo motu

Hyderabad, July 10: Andhra Pradesh Human Rights Commission (HRC) accepted the case of attack on Musunur Tehsildar and revenue staff in sand illegal mining as suo motu. HRC issued notices to Government Chief Secretary, Krishna District Collector and SP, directing them to submit a detailed report on this incident before August 13. It should be reminded here that DWCRA women, as told by Denduluru (West Godavari) MLA and Government Whip Chintamaneni Prabhakar, reportedly attacked Musunur Tehsildar Donavalli Vanajakshi and other revenue staff on Wednesday for stopping the illegal sand mining. The Tehsildar filed a case with Musunur police against the MLA and his followers. Meanwhile, revenue employees in the district strongly condemned the attack and demanded the arrest of MLA Prabhakar, DWCRA members, MLA gunmen, Musunur SI and constables immediately. Otherwise, they warned of locking down all revenue offices in Krishna district from Friday. On the other hand, DWCRA women also filed a counter case on the Tehsildar, Vanajakshi. All DWCRA women also staged protects seeking action against the MRO.
