Bandh to protest against Chandrababu’s letter to CWC

Hyderabad, July 9: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has called for bandh in Mahbubnagar district tomorrow in protest against the letter written by AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu urging the Central Water Commission (CWC) to intervene and stop the construction of Palamuru Lift Irrigation Scheme. The TRS district unit president Shiva Kumar has appealed to the public, educational, business and commercial establishments to participate in the band and make it a success. Industries Minister Jupally Krishna Rao alleged that Chandrababu had written the letter with an intention to stop the lift irrigation scheme. He said that the project got all necessary approvals before the bifurcation of AP. He reiterated that the project will be completed at any cost.
