Chandrababu’s effigies burnt in Mahbubnagar

Mahbubnagar, July 9: Farmers and TRS cadres in Mahbubnagar district burnt the effigies of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in protest against the latter’s letter to Central Water Commission to intervene and stop the Palamuru Lift Irrigation Scheme. It may be noted that Chandrababu has written a letter to Central Water Commission stating that Palamuru Lift Irrigation Scheme was started without securing approvals and in violation of provisions of AP State Reorganisation Act and sought its intervention to stop the project. In Mahbubnagar town, farmers staged a demonstration and burnt the effigy of Chandrababu at Telangana Chowrastha. Farmers staged rasta rokos at many places across the district and burnt the effigies.
