AP to urge Centre to redefine common properties' division between AP, TS
Hyderabad, June 1, 2015: AP Minister for information Palle Raghunath Reddy said here today that the Government has decided to urge the Centre to redefine the distribution of the common properties between AP and Telangana as there was certain ambiguity in the AP Reorganisation Act. Addressing media persons after a lengthy cabinet meeting, Raghunath Reddy has revealed that the Government will also seek clarity from the Centre over the term 'Headquarters' used in the AP Reorganisation Act. The Centre has to give clarity for the terminology used in the Act and also should redefine certain terms for flawless implementation of the Act. Saying that the division losses should be made up by a joint effort, the minister said the Government has decided to achieve a growth rate of 10 to 12 per cent. "We will take steps to drive the state economy to meet the set targets, " the minister said. He also pointed out that the proposed Nava Nirmana Deeksha is not against Telangana government. The Cabinet has also ratified a proposal to sanction Rs. 10,000 each to members of the DWAKRA groups.
