Hyderabad: Congress criticized the government for issuing invitations to a G20 dinner on September 9, addressing the recipient as the 'President of Bharat' instead of 'President of India.' This move prompted Congress to assert that even the concept of the 'Union of States' is now under threat. Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh expressed his concerns on social media, highlighting the significance of the change. He stated, "Now, Article 1 in the Constitution can read: 'Bharat, that was India, shall be a Union of States.' But now even this 'Union of States' is under assault." Jairam Ramesh continued to assert that the government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, may attempt to alter historical narratives and divide the country into 'India' and 'Bharat,' but the Congress party remains resolute in its commitment to unity and harmony. Reports have also surfaced suggesting that the government is considering removing the word 'India' from the Constitution. This proposal is expected to be presented during
