Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh government has granted approval for the recruitment of 597 vacant positions across Group-I and Group-II services. The responsibility for filling these positions falls under the jurisdiction of the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC). Of these vacancies, 89 are categorized under Group-I, and the remaining 508 pertain to Group-II. Principal Secretary Chiranjeevi Choudhary's official order permits the APPSC to conduct department-wise and post-wise recruitment, addressing the shortage of personnel in various government departments. Anticipated appointments in Group-I services encompass roles such as Deputy Collectors, Assistant Commissioners (Sales Tax), and Sub-Divisional Police Officers. Meanwhile, Group-II services are expected to see the recruitment of positions like Assistant Section Officers, Deputy Tehsildars, and Excise Sub-Inspectors, among others.
