Visakhapatnam Airport is facing some serious issues lately. Media reports have highlighted the presence of many birds around the airport, causing a potential risk to both incoming and outgoing flights. Pilots have been very vocal about this situation and are worried about the threat it poses to flight services. In response to this concern, the Airport authority has made an official complaint to the District Collector about the dangerous situation. The District Collector has acted quickly by directing the GVMC (Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation) to clean up the waste around the airport. This waste is believed to be attracting the birds. But birds aren't the only problem at Visakhapatnam Airport. Pilots have also reported that laser lights coming from the beach road are interfering with their ability to fly safely. Upon hearing this, the Collector has ordered that these laser lights be turned off.
