In a significant development that is set to have far-reaching implications, the Telangana State Government has made the decision to merge the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) with the government. The move, announced after an extensive cabinet meeting held on Monday, aims to benefit more than 43,000 TSRTC employees. Following the marathon cabinet meeting, the State Government revealed its plan to introduce a Bill during the upcoming Assembly session, scheduled to commence on Thursday. Once the Bill garners approval, the merger will come into effect, officially making over 43,000 TSRTC employees government employees. The transition to government employee status will entitle the TSRTC workforce to enjoy the same benefits and privileges accorded to employees in other government departments. The decision was formally announced by Minister KTR during a Press Meet held after the cabinet meeting.
