Maharashtra: In a dramatic incident captured on CCTV, a leopard was thwarted in its attempt to attack two sleeping dogs in the Adgaon Shivar area of Nasik. The footage revealed the stealthy entry of the leopard into the lawn area of a residence, where it targeted a dog resting near the main door. However, another vigilant dog woke up and began barking ferociously, leading both canines to bravely confront and chase away the wild cat. Despite being chased off, the persistent leopard returned to the spot later, only to face another round of fierce resistance from the courageous dogs. Vrishali Gade, an officer from the Forest Department, informed the media that the incident occurred in the compound area of a bungalow owned by Prabhavkar Manude. She stated that efforts were initiated, in coordination with the forest department, to set up a cage to safely contain the leopard.
