AirAsia has launched an investigation into the incident involving Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot, who reportedly missed his scheduled flight due to a delay in reaching the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) terminal. The Governor's Office has filed a police complaint, citing a violation of protocol. According to sources, Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot was set to board the 2.05 pm flight I5-972 to Hyderabad on Thursday. However, he allegedly arrived late at Terminal 2, resulting in the flight departing without him, even though his baggage had already been checked in. As the incident garnered attention, Raj Bhavan, the official residence of the Governor, has not issued an official response regarding the matter. Expressing regret over the situation, an AIX Connect spokesperson stated that the airline is currently conducting an investigation. The spokesperson assured that appropriate action would be taken once the investigation is concluded.
