Pune: During the ongoing heavy rainfall in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad, a dangerous incident unfolded in the Nigdi area when a person got trapped in a swamp behind the deaf-mute school. Fortunately, the prompt response of the fire brigade team saved the day, ensuring the individual's safe rescue. The incident took place around 7:30 in the morning as Nilakant Patil was walking near his residence, close to the deaf-mute school. Due to the continuous downpour, a treacherous swamp had formed, causing Nilakant to accidentally fall into it, leaving him stranded and unable to free himself. Vishal Salve, a vigilant passerby, witnessed the mishap and quickly informed the Nigdi Fire Department about the critical situation. Responding promptly to the distress call, the fire brigade personnel took immediate action to rescue Nilakant from the perilous situation.
