Vijayawada: Dr. Boppana Satyanarayana Rao, the founder and chairman of Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions, has passed away. He suffered a heart attack at his residence in Hyderabad on Thursday evening. Family members promptly rushed him to Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills but passed away while undergoing the treatment. His mortal remains have been transferred to Tadigadapa in Vijayawada, where the final rites will be conducted once his daughter, Seema Bopanna, who is currently abroad, arrives. Relatives have confirmed the arrangements for the last rites. TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu expressed his condolences to Dr. Rao's family and acknowledged his significant contributions to the education sector. Chandrababu Naidu tweeted as "I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Dr. B.S. Rao, the visionary founder of Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions.
